The updated curriculum for the degree in Physiotherapy will take effect in the 2009-2010 year and will gradually be introduced. According to Article 11.3 of the Royal Decree 1497/1987, of 27 November, the curriculum will be phased out for the studies leading to an official 3-year degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Valencia, as published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of 22 December 1999. The 3-year degree will simultaneously be phased out: the 1st year in 2009-2010 with no places offered for the 3-year degree; the 2nd year in 2010-2011 with the introduction of subjects for the course of adaptation and with no places offered for the 3-year degree; the 3rd year in 2011-2012 with no places offered for the 3-year degree and the 4th year in 2012-2013. Credit recognition and adaptation will be facilitated for students with pending subjects in the 3-year degree in Physiotherapy, with the exception of students with pending subjects from the 1st year who are obliged to follow the updated curriculum. Students in the 2nd year who have pending subjects in the 3-year degree in Physiotherapy are obliged to follow the updated curriculum with adaptation or credit recognition. Students with pending subjects in the 3rd year of the 3-year degree in Physiotherapy who have used up their exam attempts must follow the updated curriculum with credit recognition or adaptation.
