Course encompassed in the 36th Summer University of Gandia
Overview
In recent years, the comic has found the perfect ground for exploring social issues. The language of graphic narration has become the perfect mean for disseminating ideas, concepts and feelings by using its symbolical possibilities. It is particularly important in terms of feminism, social and cultural diversity, political conflicts, trauma and disease. This course explores the representation of Human Rights in the 9th art from different perspectives. Coordinator: Álvaro M. Pons Moreno, professor of the Department of Optics and Optometry and Vision Sciences, Universitat de València.
