The UV reaches a collaboration agreement with the Official College of Chemical Engineers of the Valencian Community

The agreement will allow the students of the Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering to enjoy a greater and better offer of internships, as well as research lines for the Master’s Degree Final Project.

The Principal of the Universitat de València, M. Vicenta Mestre, and the secretary of the Official College of Chemical Engineering of the Valencian Community (COIQCV), Noelia Sopeña, have signed the agreement through which the students of the Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering will increase their training and academic offer.

The agreement will allow the students to enjoy a greater and better offer of companies in which to conduct internships and complete their training. It will also enable these companies to propose titles for the Master’s Degrees Final Project, so that the students will acquire competencies more suited to the demands of the professional world. In this way, the degree will become more attractive and interesting for students as it trains them more effectively for the professional world.

The Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is a professional and research master’s degree that complements the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Taught since 2015 at the UV, its structure has been extended to 90 ECTS this academic year 2023-2024. The degree trains and specialises students in the field of chemical engineering with a special focus applied to work and industrial environments, reflected both in the development of curricular work placements and in the participation in the teaching of professionals who work in various sectors.

The signing of the agreement was also attended by the vice-principal for studies, Isabel Vázquez; the Director of the School of Engineering, José Rafael Magdalena; the Director of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Alberto Bouzas; the Director of the Master in Chemical Engineering, Vicente Martínez; the Deputy Director of the ETSE for Institutional Relations, Equality and Culture, Ángel Robles; the Deputy Director of the ETSE for Academic Organisation and Quality, Sonia Loras; and the COIQCV's Head of Communication, Maro Silvestre.
