This workshop is designed for science and engineering researchers who are looking to publish in open access, highlighting practical strategies to maximise the impact and visibility of their articles. The topics to be discussed are: the advantages of open access journals, the selection of high quality platforms, the management of publication costs (APCs) and the compliance with ethical standards. Participants will learn about MDPI editorial policies, including how to line up with the FAIR principles (accessible data, interoperable and reusable). Aimed at academics of any degree of expertise, the event will promote transparency and accessibility in the scientific communication. Its end goal is to strengthen the skills needed to publish, contributing to a collaborative and sustainable science.
