Students, PAS and PDI of the Faculty of Geography and History have enjoyed today the seasonal fruit that has been distributed in the hall of the center on the occasion of Fruit Day, an activity promoted by the Valencian Network of Healthy Public Universities , to which the University of Valencia belongs. The fruit has been distributed to the different centers of the University of Valencia through the Office of the Vice President for Cooperation, Sustainability and Healthy Living, and its distribution has combined other activities or views towards different current scenarios in which 'Your participation is important', following the motto of the campaign this year. This participation also translates into healthy food choices, a topic that focused the interest of the 'Food, Culture and Development' Seminar that was promoted in June of this year from the Faculty of Geography and History with the support of the UNESCO Chair of Studies on the Development of the University of Valencia, in which the importance of food as an intangible heritage carrier of cultural identity and promoter of community strengthening and local development was highlighted. The selection of books on the history and culture of food that were placed next to the fruit crates alluded to these topics, which are of great interest in today's world.
