The following criteria will be taken into account in the admission of students:
- Graduated in Optics and Optometry (20%)
- Holder of a diploma in Optics and Optometry (15%)
- Foreign higher education degrees related with the field of Optics and Optometry (10%)
- Average grade of the student academic record (70%).
- Complementary training in the area of the master's degree (up to 5%): Every education related with optometry and imparted by an university or non university centre will be recognised as long as it is endorsed by the official college of optics-optometrists or for any other organism endorsed by the Continuous Training Commission (CFC). The scoring ranges from 0 and 5 (maximum) over 100, valuing proportionally with a point for every 20 hours of course completed.
- Work experience (up to 5%): The scoring ranges from 0 and 5 (maximum), adding 5 points for experience of 2 years or higher, 2.5 points for experience between 3 months and 2 years, and 0 points for an experience lower than 3 months.
