The European Union has passed the Erasmus+ programme for the 2014-2020 period, which came into force on 1 January 2014.

The new Erasmus+ programme is framed in the strategy Europe 2020, in the strategy Education and Training 2020 and in the strategy “Rethinking Education”, and encompasses all the education, training, youth and sports initiatives.

In the education field, it includes all the levels: school, professional training, higher education and adult education. Erasmus+ integrates the existent programmes in the Lifelong Learning Programme and also the programmes of international higher education: Mundus, Tempus, ALFA, Edulink and bilateral programmes, as well as the Youth in Action programme.

This new programme focuses on the formal and informal learning beyond the borders of the EU, with a clear vocation for internationalisation opening to third countries with the objective of improving the education and training abilities of the people for the employability of students, professor staff and workers.

The strategic Associations aim to support the development, the transfer or the implementation of innovative practices and the implementation of joint initiatives for the promotion of cooperation, peer learning and the interchange of experiences at European level.

The strategic Associations are open to any kind of active organisation in any field of education, training and youth or other socio-economic sectors, as well as the organisations that perform cross-disciplinary activities in different fields (for example, local and regional authorities, recognition and validation centres, chambers of commerce, business organisations, advisory centres, cultural organisations).

Depending on the priority of the project, the strategic Associations should involve the most appropriate and diverse partners with the objective of benefitting from different experiences, profiles and specialised knowledge and of obtaining with the project relevant results and of high quality.

From the Unit for Guidance and Training of European Programmes [FORMAEUROPA] we offer the training services through specialised courses in KA2 Strategic Associations, and services of individual advice for the best formulation of your European project.
