Members of the LOD-RoadTran18 project, focused on linked open data (LOD), have discussed its administrative, dissemination and technical aspects, emphasizing its status and results on Tuesday. The initiative, which will be completed in the last months of the year, is a joint effort by Spain and the Czech Republic to reuse dynamic road traffic data from both countries.

The University of Valencia coordinates the consortium through IRTIC with the technical assistance of LMT Group. The Directorate-General of Traffic, Desidedatum Data Company S.L., ESAM Tecnología S.L., Universitat Politècnica de València, TamTam Research and the Czech Technical University participate in its execution.

This initiative co-funded by HaDEA aims to support the reuse of dynamic road traffic data in the Czech Republic and Spain and to make the European data portal findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR). Another of its aims is to connect the portal with any other data in the sector using the above mentioned linked open data.
