Design of a vehicle interior equipped with smart technologies that can detect the driver’s behaviour (healthy habits against dangerous behaviours in the context of safe driving), as well as the study of the parameters that characterise the vehicle and the driver in the previous moments to an accident.
Description
The Project is divided into different subprojects, of which ARTEC has participated in:
- ESTABLE (PSE-370100-2008-4). A project that analyses the dynamic stability conditions of heavy vehicles, in different load conditions, informing the driver of the risk of overturning during circulation. This project is especially useful for the transportation of dangerous goods.
- E-SEÑAL (PSE-370100-2008-3). A smart signalling system that informs the driver of the traffic signs without the driver having to see and read them. It also includes information on the road condition such as possible accidents, roadworks or traffic jams.
- HITO (PSE-370100-2007-7). It aims to ensure safe driving by incorporating the present and future appropriate information technologies, validating them and making possible their simultaneity and compatibility.
- ASISTE (PSE-370100-2007-12). A platform that will combine the information on the vehicle condition, the onboard devices of information and driving support.
The project has received funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation, within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011.
