Engineer Claudia Franchesca De los Santos, Executive Director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) of the Dominican Republic, announced that as of May 1, 2019, the four new manuals for obtaining licenses for driving, which have been developed by INTRAS through the agreement maintained by both institutions, and led by Dr. Francisco Alonso.

The new manuals are separated by category according to the applicant's interest: common knowledge manual; manual license category 1 on specific knowledge for driving two- and three-wheel motor vehicles; manual license category 2 on specific knowledge for the driving of light motor vehicles, and manual license category 3 and 4 on specific knowledge for the professional driving of heavy vehicles.
