    Symposium Smart cities and value of time: Transport planning for the "on move” society


    Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director del INTRAS and advisor of the National Institute of Traffic and Land Transportation (INTRANT) of the Dominican Republic, gave the presentation "Traffic Safety and the role of infrastructure management” together with the director of Sustainable Mobility, Ing. Alexandra Cedeño, at the Symposium Smart cities and value of time: Transport planning for the "on move” society. This symposium aims to contribute to the debate on planning transport system and urban development according to the needs and activities undertaken by citizens of the modern "on move" society. The symposium has been organized in collaboration with the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) and the University of Twente in the Netherlands.

        Initial meeting of the Technical Commission of ‘Good Practices in Automotive’


        Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS, has attended the initial meeting of the Technical Commission of "Good Practices in Automotive", of which he is a member. This Commission has been created by the Spanish Association of Automotive Professionals (ASEPA) and integrated by a group of automotive professionals interested in sharing good practices that can serve as reference and help for others.

          The INTRAS Director, Dr. Francisco Alonso has attend to Laboralia, the Integral Contest of Prevention and Labor Welfare of Valencia Trade Fair that has been celebrated on 28 and 29 November 2017 in the Valencia fairground.               Local Meeting ‘Working Group CAMP-sUmp Project’


              On November 24, 2017, the second meeting of the local work group of the InterregMed CAMP-sUmp project "CAMPUS sustainable University mobility plans in Mediterranean Regions of Europe" was held, whose purpose was to present the results obtained so far, to do an introduction to the action plan, roadmap and ICT tools model that is being developed and a discussion about it. The head of the project at the Universitat de València is Professor Pedro Valero Mora, a member of the INTRAS SINTEC group, and is co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the Interreg Med program.

                31st Plenary of the Autonomous Community of Traffic and Road Safety


                The Director of INTRAS, Dr. Francisco Alonso, has participated as permanent member in the 31st Plenary Session of the Traffic and Road Traffic Safety Commission in the Valencian Community, which has taken place in the Government Delegation on November 15, 2017.

                  On 9 November, 2017 the Commissioner for Transport of the European Commission, Violeta Bulk, delivered the Grant Agreement of the "C-Roads Spain" project signed by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), the General Directorate of Traffic, project coordinator and the that the INTRAS participates. The act was held in Tallinn, Estonia, where also was officially announced the entry of Spain on the European platform C-Roads, a pan-European initiative that unfolds the services of intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) for the management of road traffic more Safe and efficient and that, together with the other new drivers, now has 16 member States
