Dr. Francisco Alonso, Director of INTRAS and advisor of the INTRANT-RD, gave the presentation "The Development of the National Strategic Road Safety Plan and the Normativity with regard to Child Road Safety" in the 1st Child Road Safety Seminar held in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) on April 3, 2019.

A group of entities headed by the National Institute of Traffic and Land Transportation (INTRANT), have discussed the improvement of Child Road Safety.

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the World Center for Training in Road Safety of the UN (CIFAL), the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE), Automobile Club Dominicano (ACD) have participated. and the Dominican Pediatric Society, among others.

The experts have dealt with the global challenge of Child Road Safety, Child Road Safety in the Dominican Republic, Child Safety Research, Standards and Characteristics of Child Retention Systems, Awareness Campaigns, Training and Outreach as axes of prevention of infant injuries, among other issues.
