Born in Cameroon, anti-racist activist Sane Ladan denounces border violence, structural racism and dehumanising migration policies in his speeches. This conference is jointly organised by the Centro Delàs de Estudios por la Pau.

A graduate in Social Education and International Relations and Diplomacy, Sani Ladan arrived in Spain just over a decade ago after a long and difficult migratory journey from his native Cameroon. Author of the book ¨La luna está en Duala y mi destino en el conocimiento¨, this activist for the rights of migrants has not ceased to raise his voice for the recognition and fight for these rights.

On Wednesday November 30, at 19h, Ladán will give a lecture at the Gandia International Centre entitled ‘Beyond the line. Reflections on the securitisation of borders and gateway violence'. The event will have open access to the general public and will be free of charge. Sani Ladán is currently Vice-President of the Elín Association (Ceuta), studying International Relations at the Loyola Andalucía University. He is also an intercultural mediator and head of a reception centre for refugees in the association Espacios Berakah (Seville).
