BEA wins Student Elections

The student union Bloc d’Estudiants Agermanats (BEA) has won the Student Elections for the partial renewal of the Senate by obtaining 27 representatives in the elections held on 23 November.

Last Thursday 23 November, 47,374 students of the Universitat de València were called to renew the 75 representatives of the Senate belonging to this group.

These elections had a turnout of 14.82%, more than two and a half points higher than the previous ones, being the best turnout figure since the 2012 elections.

The Bloc d’Estudiants Agermanats (BEA) will be the group with the most representatives in the Senate, 27 — 7 more than in 2021. Unió-EV was the association that obtained the second best results, 24 representatives — 4 more than in the previous elections. In third position was SAÓ, which lost 6 representatives compared to 2021, obtaining a total of 20 representatives. Lastly, CREA (an association of the Faculty of Law) obtained 2 representatives; Estudiantes Fisioterapia, 1; and the Asociación Valenciana de Estudiantes de Odontología (AVEO), 1 representative as well.

In addition, several services and administrative personnel (PAS), teaching and research staff (PDI) and research staff in training (PIF) electoral colleges were also called to the polls to fill several vacancies.
