Parlem d'Art

On Friday 21 October begins the second edition of ‘Parlem d’art’, an initiative which tries to mobilise the student body in activities related to art. ‘Parlem d’art’, which is a selection of proposals made by the student body of the Universitat de València in the framework of Public Art/ Public University, will be held during the months of October, November and December of 2016 in different spaces.

Organised by the SeDi Information and Promotion Service of the Universitat de València, the initiative ‘Parlem d’Art’ selects projects presented by students with the objective of promoting the carrying out of activities related to art, and in particular, related to the theoretical analysis, reviews, management and development of events. The format, which is very diverse, includes, among others, conferences, talks, presentations, round tables and musical experiences.

In this edition, nine proposals have been selected. The first one starts on 21 October at the Joan Fuster Hall in the Faculty of Geography and History, titled ‘For the love of art: urban art as a regenerator of cultural heritage’. The other proposals are ‘1000 images, 1 word’ (2 November), ‘Video games, a challenge for the history of art’ (3 November), ‘Contemporary Music: showing the cards’ (8 November), ‘Public Art 2.0. From observer to public creator’ (16 November), ‘The Museum of the Future’ (25 November), ‘The trend that urges on’ (1 December), ‘Visions of past and present in series and fantasy sagas. From The Lord of the Rings to Game of Thrones’ (14 December), and ‘Theatre and Trauma. The performative role of dramatisation’ (16 December).

All the activities are open to the public and no registration is needed. The complete programme can be seen in http://go.uv.es/oSw5IXh
