The Ducal Palace of Gandia hosts the Concierto de Primavera of the UV
- UVGandia
- May 9th, 2024

This concert will be performed by Camerata La Stravaganza on Wednesday, 15 May at 7:00pm. The event will take place in the Patio de Armas of the Ducal Palace and is free of charge.
The Camerata La Stravaganza will present in Gandia a monograph dedicated to the magnificent composer and violinist Antonio Vivaldi, one of the most representative figures of the Italian Baroque style. The audience will be able to enjoy some of his most distinguished works, such as the Concerto for Two Cellos in G minor, as well as some of his lesser-known works, such as the hidden gem that is the Sinfonia in G major, called Il coro delle muse.
The Camerata La Stravaganza, named after Antonio Vivaldi’s set of concertos, Op. 4., was created as a group of young performers from all over the Valencian Community. The main objective is to promote musical activity and inspire young spirits throughout the Valencian territory, through thematic and varied programmes, with the intention of bringing the audience closer to works outside the common repertoire.
The members also belong to the main youth orchestras on the national and international scene, including the Philharmonic orchestra of the University of Valencia, which promotes this performance. They are united by the same dream of making music together and developing their talents, through work based on cooperation, a sense of community and passion. Most members of the Camerata are outstanding students from the Escuela Superior de Música de Alto Rendimiento (ESMAR: Escuela Superior of Musical Arts for Professionals) and the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquim Rodrigo (CSMV: Joaquim Rodrigo Conservatoire of Music) in Valencia.
