The first Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum in Education and Humanities that will leave more than 40 labour opportunities and 550 people registered

Education and Humanities have join for the first time in the celebration of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum of the Universitat de València, this Thursday 10, through the faculties of Philosophy and Educational Science, Geography and History, and Philology, Translation and Communication, with the support of the Office of the Vice-Principal for de Lifelong Learning, Educational Transformation and Employment (Uvjob), turning it into a macro-encounter that is summarised with these data: more than 40 job opportunities; 35 enterprises and entities of the area; 550 people registered; 15 degrees and double degree; 20 Master's Degrees; and 12 Doctoral Studies programmes.

“The most important thing is to point out the value of Humanities and defend their fundamental role, nuclear, in any filed of knowledge: science, technology, health and social sciences”. In these terms has the Office of the Vice-Principal for de Lifelong Learning, Educational Transformation and Employment,Ángeles Solanes, expressed during the welcome act to the forum that, under the nameEDUMANIDADES, has held in theFaculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciencean enlarge job fair with the presence of35 stands of enterprises and entitiesin the area of education, humanities and communication, besides the different services that the Universitat de València puts within every student's reach to accompany them in their path to the job world.

Thus,550 people registered-plus the students of first years in degrees and postgraduate studies- have been able to exchange views with associations, cooperatives, official schools, foundations and ONG linked to their studies, as well as enterprise organisations of cultural management, integral educational services, academies and language centres or the preparation of competitive examinations, educative centres and private schools, cultural exchange agencies, and pf placing abroad or traveling, enterprises of educative entertainment or language service and linguistic public normalisation, in addition to chairs for research and union.

Through the session, students had access to anoffer of almost half a hundred job opportunities, in which they can access through the forum web, postulating to develop their first steps in the professional world as apprentices, teachers, educators, curators, guides, communicators, editors, etc.

In this sense, the Vice-PrincipalÁngeles Solaneshas insisted in the importance of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Forum UV as an opportunity to recap crucial information for the labour future of the students, as they are Professional Opportunitiesor the most demanded profiles by the current market, without “forgetting” the Universitat de València, “your home because we will always be here to accept you if you want to come back to continue your specialisation or work with as specialist personal, researcher or professor”.

Thus, the Vice-Dean of Research, Mobility and Internships and work placements of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences,Carmen Carmona, has subscribe the words of the Vice-Principal, positioning students to “dialogue, know and discover their professional talent, but most important their human talent, to the enterprises that visit us today”.

They have accompanied the vice-principalÁngeles Solanesthe dean of the Faculty of Geography and History,Manuel Lomas, and the acting dean of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication,María Rosa Álvarez, coinciding the four of then describing theEDUMANIDADES Forumas an “encounter, a bridge between the university talent and the job market” where both worlds converge in a unique interactional space: the job fair, with which the session has ended, but also all the activity around that has been held since early hours of the morning in the three faculties.

The career opportunities degree by degree, the specialised training and the quality through the Master's Degrees and doctoral programmes, the vital experiences of active professionals, positioning workshops and professional brands, social media and other current themes have starred an intenseprogrammein each of the centres.

The Universitat de València will close the forum circuit next Tuesday, 15 April, with theSTEM Forumthat will take place in theEscola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria (ETSE-UV)in collaboration with six centres: the Faculties ofPhysics,Chemistry,Mathematical SciencesandBiological Sciences, theETSE, and theScientific Park UV.
