23rd International Week

From November the 3rd to the 7th, 2025, the 23rd International Week of the university Universitat de València will be held. During this week, the International Relations and Cooperation Service, in collaboration with all the Faculties and Schools of the Universitat, will inform all students about the exchange programs for international stays in the year 2026-2027.

This initiative aims to promote that our students perform a stay in Europe (Erasmus Estudis Program), in other continents (International Program) or in Spain (SICUE Program). Information will also be provided about the Erasmus Placement Programme.

23rd International Week: informative sessions

Grants

Students receive a grant that can change its amount every year. Information on grants can be checked in our website. Among other goals, the new programme aims to improve the quality and to enhance the linguistic skills of students. To this end, a series of measures have been planned, such as online language courses for students or the option to take (non-binding) assessments tests before and after the Erasmus stays. 

Requirements for participating in Erasmus Programmes

• Applicants must be nationals of one of the countries that participate in the Erasmus Programme (the European Union Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia). Nationals of third countries also can participate if they have a valid residence permit for living in Spain during the mobility period.
• Applicants must be enrolled on official undergraduate degrees studies of the UV, both when they submit the application form and during the stay in the host university.
• Applicants must have completed 42 credits in the corresponding curriculum, at the end of the academic year 2024/2025.
• Students who are beneficiaries of another mobility programme (SICUE or International Programme) with the University of Valencia during the same academic year cannot apply, excluding the Erasmus Placement Programme.
• Students must accredit their language level and be accepted by the host institution. Erasmus Studies language requirement.
• Students may go the Erasmus programme more than once as long as they do not exceed 360 days in total. In the degrees of Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry, the maximum is 24 months per cycle but each mobility cannot exceed the 360 day limitation.
• Students may need to meet specific requirements set by Faculties for their degrees. Sometimes partner universities have also specific requirements that should be fulfilled.

Selection criteria

In the Erasmus Studies programme, the Mobility Committee for each School or Faculty ranks candidates according to some previously approved criteria, which can be checked at Announcements tab. Among other criteria relevant to each school or faculty, these will include the students' average score after the academic year 2023-2024 and their participation in the Mentoring Programme for incoming international students. 

Possible destinations and duration of the stay

Mobility periods will be granted in accordance with the duration of stay established in the bilateral agreement between the Universitat de València and the host university. These can be checked in the list of destinations for each degree in the Student Services Website. Students can do 1st semester, 2nd semester or full-year stays.

These are the lecturers who advise incoming and outgoing mobility students on the drafting of the study contract, the equivalence of grades and academic assistance.

Each faculty has a faculty coordinator. This is normally the vice-dean for international relations. He/she is the head of each faculty in mobility matters.

Specific Information for Students

If you want to study at the university of Valencia with the Erasmus Programme, the first step is to check if there is a bilateral agreement between your home university and the University of Valencia in the field of your degree. Otherwise, you cannot come as an Erasmus student, because freemover/visiting students are not accepted.

Requirements

Between both your home university and the Universitat de València there should be a bilateral agreement in the field you wish to study in Valencia.
Your home university must send us your nomination, confirming us that you have been granted the status of an Erasmus student.

Application

After receiving your nomination, the international relations office will check if you can be accepted according to our bilateral agreement and send you an e-mail with your password. Thus you will be able to fill in the online application form and upload the following documents:

• Passport or identity card
• European Health Insurance Card or a private medical insurance covering the full length of your stay in Spain

After being accepted, incoming students will receive an email with their login-code and the instructions to fill in the online application form. This should be done within 30 days after the reception of the email.

Periods to send your students nominations:

• For Fall semester or whole year stays (September-January or September-June): 

The link for nominations will remain open from 1st of March until 31st of May.

• For Spring semester (February-June): 

The link for nominations will remain open from 1st of September until 31st of October. Except for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, which does not accept nominations in the second semester.

* Please, note that we will not accept nominations by email, post or any other way anymore.

* We will only accept nominations sent by a nominating international office or a nominating university staff member.

After receiving the nominations, the International Relations Office will check if they are acceptable in accordance with the bilateral agreement and will send to the students an e-mail with the information they need to fill in the online application form.

Curricular external internships abroad without the possibility of applying for the Erasmus Internship grant 

The External Internships Committee of the Faculty of Biological Sciences has approved that students who are enrolled in the subject of External Internships at the UV, can carry out an external curricular internship abroad in "self-practicum" mode without the possibility of applying for the Erasmus Internship grant, provided that the committee accepts the internship proposal submitted following the specific procedure for this modality.

Curricular external internships of outgoing SICUE students enrolled in the subject of External Internships at the UV 

The External Internships Committee of the Faculty of Biological Sciences has approved that outgoing SICUE students who are enrolled in the subject of External Internships at the UV can present their "self-practicum" proposal throughout the course, once they are at the SICUE destination. The proposal for an external internship must be submitted following the specific procedure for this modality in order for it to be approved by the committee.

Enrolment for External Internships in registration extension

Students who do not meet the requirements to enroll in the External Internships as of July 24, but do meet the requirements with the grades obtained in the first semester, and enrollment in this subject means the completion of the degree, may enroll in the enrollment extension period established only for the Final Degree Project and the External Internships within the established period by submitting the corresponding application through the electronic registry. The deadline for submitting applications will end in February 2025.

Calendar of evaluation of external practices

Degree final project is a compulsory subject in all degrees, which is carried out in the last year. It is recommendable to read the instructions you will find below in the specific information for each degree.

The defence period calendar is set by the centre for all degrees:

ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-26

Only the sudents with Degree Final Project (TFG) in 2n or subsequents enrolment that continue with the same tutor and project theme can defence their TFG in reading periods September and December.

The registration of TFG is submitted through the Electronic Registry procedure on the UV Electronic Office website, selecting:

- Type of body to which it is addressed: Centers

- Body to which it is addressed: Faculty of Biological Sciences

- Desired procedure: Specific procedures of the unit

- In the drop-down menu, select Final Degree Project (TFG) Registration

Students who, on 31 July, do not meet the requirements for enrolling in the Degree final project but they are allowed due to the grades they earned in the first semester, and this subject enrolment means the completion of the degree, they may enrol within the enrolment extension period established only for the Degree final project and the Work placements submitting the corresponding request through the electronic registry. The deadline for submitting applications is from February 9 to February 20, 2026.
