The following is a list of Spanish government legislation that regulates official degree programmes:

  • Royal Decree1791/2010, of 30 de December, approving the University Student Statute.
  • Order EDU/3242/2010, of 9 December,  determining the content of the specific phase of the university entrance examinations for those who possess an advanced vocational training certificate as a vocational training technician, plastic arts technician or sports technician, or equivalent.
  • Order  EDU/520/2011, of 7 March, which modifies Order EDU/1603/2009, of 10 June, establishing equivalencies with qualifications in Compulsory Secondary School Education (ESO) and Upper Secondary School Education (Bachillerato) regulated in the Organic Law 2/2006, of 3 May, by the Ministry of Education.   
  • Royal Decree 1497/1987, of 27 November, which establishes general guidelines common to the curricula of official university degrees valid throughout the national territory.
  • Royal Decree 1002/2010, of 5 August, on issuing official university degrees.
  • Royal Decree 1044/2003, of 1 August, establishing the procedure for issuance of the Diploma Supplement.
  • Royal Decree 1125/2003 , of 5 Setember, establishing the European credit and grading system in official university degrees valid throughout the national territory.
  • Revised Text in the University of Valencia Student Services of the Royal Decree 285/2004 and the Royal Decree 309/2005, which regulates the conditions of recognition and validation of foreign degrees and studies in higher education. 
  • Royal Decree 1393/2007, which establishes the management of official university studies.
