The call will remain opened until 15 July and will provide to the chosen enterprises the access to incubation spaces, specialised training, advice, support services, promotion and visibility actions within the innovative ecosystem of the PCUV.

The objective of the programme is to enable that enterprises based on knowledge, innovation, or social impact can consolidate their business models in a connected environment with the Universitat de València, research and productive tissue.

INCUBA2 offers to the chosen enterprises a space of shared work in the Semillero Empresarial of the Tarongers Campus, located in the Beatriu Civera building, conceived to foster startups, university spin-offs, micro-enterprises, and innovative SMEs in their first periods of growth.

Besides the access to the incubation space, companies will also count with the technical and business staff, the access to meeting and training rooms, and the connection with resources and services of the FPCUV and of the Universitat de València.

The programme also includes support in communication to strengthen the visibility of the chosen enterprises. The FPCUV will boost dissemination actions, the creation of content, and the promotion of the participant projects in their corporative channels, besides the elaboration of a promotional video of every enterprise to facilitate their presentation towards potential clients, collaborators, and investors. 

Training and support for six months

One of the main parts of INCUBA2 will be its training programme, composed of specialised sessions meant for the improvement of key competences for the development of innovative companies.

The contents will address aspects such as the implementation of a start-up, the technological market, the funding, the strategy, the business models, digitalisation, and the application of new technologies to the entrepreneurial growth.

This training will be complemented with networking activities and link to companies, research staff, collaborative entities, and agents of the Valencian innovative ecosystem.

A call opened to new forms of innovation

Although the call is opened to innovation initiatives of any field, INCUBA2 will pay special attention to projects linked to social sciences, humanities and social innovation, areas with a growing potential to create solutions with economic, cultural, educational, territorial and social impact.

The requests will have to be presented through the procedure enabled in the call. Among the assessment criteria, the candidature’s quality, the level of innovation, the entrepreneurial viability, the social or environmental impact, and the link to the Universitat de València will be assessed.

The initiative also has the support of UVemprén, reinforcing the connection of the programme with the university entrepreneurial actions boosted from the Universitat de València.

INCUBA2 joins the specialised incubators boosted by the UV Science Park to support innovative entrepreneurial projects from different fields of knowledge.

The programme complements initiatives, such as AgrotecUV –focused on sustainable agri-food innovation– and IATecUV,  specialised in Artificial Intelligence and digital enabling technologies. Along with them, INCUBA2 widens the approach of the incubation system of the PCUV towards innovative enterprises of new creation with proposals that also proceed from social sciences, humanities, and social innovation.

With this new call, the FPCUV strengthens its role as a support platform for innovative entrepreneurship, the transfer of knowledge and the creation of companies capable of generating a socioeconomic impact from the university environment.
