The UV has won three metals in the University Spanish Championship (CEU) of Taekwondo closing the 2022 edition of the national competition with a total of 58 medals.

The Taekwondo Spanish Chambioship was celebrated this Sunday 29 of May in Murcia. Taekwondo is an Olympic discipline based in self-defence. This competition marked the end of the CEU 2022.

The Universitat de València won three medals in the combat modality. Paula Temina Monleón in the less than 53 kg category won the silver. Neus Domenech Sala in the less than 73 kg category won the bronze. And Blanca Calvo Rodríguez in the less than 46 kg category won silver.

In the poomsae modality, Maria Vidal Frasés represented the Universitat de València, she came in a creditable ninth position.

The three medals won in Taekwondo, added to those won by the UV athletes throughout the University Spanish Championship, make a total of 58 metals (10 golds, 17 silvers, and 31 brozes). This makes the Universitat de València the second university with the most CEU 2022 medals, behind the organiser, The Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM).
