These awards are called in application of the cooperation agreement between the Valencian universities participating in the Autonomous University Sports Championship (CADU) and the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso to promote university sport. This call is intended to give two awards addressed to the athletes studying at the Universitat de València, in the male and female modalities, who have coordinated academic performance, and elite and high-level sports practice with the best results during the academic year. Each award (one per modality) consists of an economic compensation of 1000 euros, a recognition diploma, and a commemorative plaque.

The deadline for presenting the applications to be eligible for the award starts on 7 September 2026 and extends to 5 October 2026, both days included. The registration can be made through Seu electrónica de la UV. To be able to participate, two requirements must be met. The first one is to be an athlete with nationally recognised results obtained at least in the 2025-2026 season. Regarding the second one, it is required to be enrolled in an official degree or master’s degree at the Universitat de València in the academic year 2025-2026, with a minimum of 36 credits, and to pass at least 70 % of the enrolled credits.

The institution in charge for the awarding procedure is the UV Sports Service. The presented applications will be evaluated by a commission comprised of a representative from the Fundación Trinidad Alfonso, the head of the Sports Service, and a technician from the Sports Service in representation of the Universitat de València. To evaluate the applications, the sports results (over a maximum of 45 %) and the academic record (over a maximum of 55 %) corresponding to the academic year 2025-2026 will be taken into consideration. The resolution will be published in the UV Official Board.

The Universitat is an important space for sports talent. Participating in this initiative, it confirms its commitment to sport promotion and to the balance with studies.
