UVdiscapacidad, a service registered at the Fundació General de la Universitat de València, has satisfactorily passed the monitoring audit carried out this month by the company SGS ICS Ibérica, S.A. The chief auditor, María José Aledón, congratulated this service of the University by obtaining as a result the conformity with all the established quality criteria. The current renewal also adds 15 years of commitment of the UVdiscapacidad team to the Quality Management System.

The report reflects the conformity of the management system with the audit criteria established in the ENAC Standard Certification Regulation: ISO 9001:2015; the effectiveness of the implementation of the management system as planned; and the capacity of the management system to meet the objectives and the UV policy.

"Obtaining the renewal of the Quality Certificate is very important this year especially, because UVdiscapacidad is already 15 years of commitment to the Quality Management System. This encourages us to keep working on the continuous improvement and to keep providing a maximum quality service to our users", says the director of this service, Celeste Asensi.

Throughout all this time, the UVdiscapacidad team has been actively involved in the Quality Management System, contributing with the suggestions for improvement that have been materialized year after year. This commitment to quality has implied a work of evaluation and quarterly monitoring of the entire team through meetings and sharing of analysis of improvement, demonstrating that it is being effective, as supported by internal and external audits.

Since 2005, UVdiscapacidad has the Quality Certification ISO 9001 and, later, in 2006, obtained the Gold Seal of Excellence. Likewise, since November 2011, following a philosophy of transparency and quality to its users, has a Charter of Services that was developed after the institutional orientation by the Strategic Plan of the University of Valencia 2008-2011, with a third edition approved in 2019 available in four versions: extended, reduced, triptych and accessible to people with disabilities. All these versions are available in three languages: Valencian, Spanish and English.

In this long history, UVdiscapacidad has seen how its efforts and dedication have been rewarded, not only by the continuous expressions of gratitude that year after year this service receives from its most direct users, but also by the public recognition achieved by obtaining the following awards: the prize 'Social Action' awarded by CERMI CV (2019); the ASINDOWN award (2017); the ONCE-Comunitat Valenciana Solidarity Award (2015); the COCEMFE-Valencia award (2014); the Cermi award. es (Cermi-Spain) (2013); the Telefónica Ability Awards (2012); the Honorary Mention at the University of Valencia from the Ombudsman for the Disabled of the Valencia Region (2011) and the 'Solidarity' award from the Asindown Foundation (2011)
