On Thursday 6 July the exhibition "15 miradas sobre la UEG” ("15 glances on the UEG”) opens, in which 15 local artists show their vision on the Summer University of Gandía. This exhibition is part of the commemorative activities of the 40th anniversary of the UEG and it has been produced in collaboration with the Directorate of Culture of the City Council of Gandía.

The Summer University of Gandía 40 years ago. 40 years of experiences. 40 years of knowledge generation, of culture generation.

The UEG has always been a cultural showcase. Over these 4 decades, the programming has been filled with new artists of the region in an attempt to become a showcase for regional and local talent. And with this idea was born the exhibition "15 glances on the UEG" where the University of Valencia and the City Council of Gandia, thanks to the bag of local artists, have counted on new talents of our city to make known their art.

In this exhibition, which can be visited in the Tossal hall of the city until 31 August, 15 artists from Gandia have participated, showing their personal vision of the Summer University of Gandía and what these 40 years full of knowledge, education, learning, art and science have meant. In particular, the participating artists are: Sergio Terrones, Margarida Riggio, Gracia Martí, Alba Domenech, María González, David Marques, Isabel Lluch, Raquel Pellicer, Isis Castelló, Candela Bohigues, Ana Sentieri, Marta Little Mares, Isabel Couchoud, Alberto Nieto and José Ramón Borrás.

With this exhibition, the UEG shows its commitment to make Gandía the cultural reference that has always been, supporting the present and the future of the artists of this city.
