After the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Spanish universities have provided in a coordinated their resources in cooperation. The Assembly of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) agrees to plan the joint collaboration of the Spanish universities with the Haitian people, based especially on the future reconstruction of its universities and educational system in general, offering scholarships for Masters Haitian students training in the areas of Education, Planning, Spatial Planning, Prevention and Risk Management, Construction Engineering, Health and Environment and this commitment is compounded by the University of Valencia.
