Marisol Lila, Full Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Valencia and Director of the Contexto Program, and Elena Terreros, Ph.D. in Social Psychology and Deputy Director of the same program, conducted a training session on October 2 and 3, 2025, aimed at professionals from the Liberiamoci Dalla Violenza (LDV) program. LDV is the first public Italian center for the intervention with men who perpetrate intimate partner violence, active since 2011. The event took place in the Emilia-Romagna region and brought together 18 professionals from the different LDV centers in the region (Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Ferrara, Bologna, and Romagna —Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna, and Rimini—).

Throughout the two-day session, participants engaged with theoretical and practical content on intervention with men who perpetrate intimate partner violence, with a particular focus on motivational strategies, risk management, and program evaluation. The first day focused on presenting the Contexto Program, its theoretical foundations, structure, and components, as well as on the evaluation and risk management process. The second day was devoted to the development of motivational strategies and the design of an Individualized Motivational Plan, combining theory with practical exercises.

This training strengthens the collaboration between the Italian LDV teams and the Contexto Program, reinforcing academic and professional cooperation between both institutions. It also fosters international exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of intervention with men who perpetrate intimate partner violence.
