As part of the projects funded by the State Secretariat for Social Rights and the BBVA Foundation, coordinated by Professor Marisol Lila, the 3rd Conference for professionals working in intervention programs for intimate partner perpetrators was held on May 21 and 22, 2026, at the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy of the University of Valencia. The conference brought together professionals from across Spain with the aim of sharing experiences, strengthening professional networks, and advancing the improvement of evidence-based intervention practices in this field.
During the event, the results of the 1st and 2nd Conferences were presented, which made it possible to continue the work carried out in previous editions and to consolidate a shared space for analysis, reflection, and learning.
In this third edition, trauma in intimate partner perpetrators was one of the main topics of the conference, with theoretical sessions, case studies, and activities aimed at fostering the exchange of professional experiences.
The sessions combined large-group work in the Faculty’s Assembly Hall with small-group activities in different workrooms throughout the center.
With this third edition, Programa Contexto and the Psima Association reinforced their commitment to training, professional coordination, and the development of specialized interventions in the field of intimate partner violence.
