The project titled “Targeted Prevention of Intimate Partner Violence Against Women: Neuro-Psychobiological Mechanisms, Effective Perpetrator Interventions, and Place-Based Policy,” led by Marisol Lila and Enrique Gracia, has received funding from the Generalitat Valenciana through the Prometeo Program for research groups of excellence (CIPROM/2026/26).

This funding represents significant recognition of the team’s scientific track record, research excellence, and social impact in the field of violence prevention against women.

The project will generate knowledge to improve the prevention of intimate partner violence against women through three complementary lines of research: the study of the neuropsychobiological mechanisms associated with perpetration; the design and rigorous evaluation of individualized interventions for convicted perpetrators; and the development of geospatial tools to identify territorial inequalities and guide policies tailored to the needs of municipalities across the Valencian Community.
