The project Focused intervention protocols: Addressing perpetrators’ risk factors , presented by the Programa Contexto (UV), is one of six projects selected by the European Network for the Work with Perpetrators (WWP-EN) with the aim of promoting the effectiveness of intervention programs with aggressors in Europe.
After a rigorous evaluation of the proposals, this team's project was selected and will be funded by the European Union.
Though this project, the research group of Programa Contexto will design and develop evidence-based intervention protocols adjusted to the risk factors of every participant. In addition, a specific training plan will be created for the application of these protocols and the detection of necessary intervention strategies.
During the development of the project, the protocols will be introduced and tested in order to evaluate and analyze the viability of their implementation.
The outcomes will be shared –among other means– at a conference organized by the team and other collaborating entities. Tthis project is expected to lead to substantial improvements in interventions, tailoring them to the needs of each participant and adopting a more sensitive enviornment, thus contributing to the prevention of gender violence.
Moreover, the team will collaborate in designing the proposal for the accreditation of aggressor intervention programs at the European level, which is being led by EN-WWP.
