The workshop, titled "Innovative strategies: the role of the support person in intervention programmes with perpetrators", taught by Manuel Roldán-Pardo, Cristina Expósito-Álvarez, y Marisol Lila, took place on last 23 October in Berlin, in the WWP Annual Conference "10 Years of Change – Exploring next frontiers of ending domestic violence".
This workshop, aimed to professionals and researchers of the European network, consisted in the explanation of the results of the programme and in the development of a dynamic based on role-playing. During this activity, participants had the opportunity of applying an innovative protocol developed by the research team of the Contexto Programme. This protocol focuses on the collaboration with the perpetrator's support network, with the objective of identifying risk situations and raise awareness over the negative consequences of violence in the immediate environment of the participant.
The initiative was a great success, not only because of the protocol spreading, but also because of the connections stablished with other professionals of the European scene. This all strengthens the exchange of knowledge and strategies in violence prevention.
