Cataract Surgery and Quality of Life in Samburu, Kenya
This doctoral project investigates not only whether cataract surgery restores vision, but also how restored vision affects patients’ everyday lives. Conducted in Samburu, Kenya, the research combines clinical outcomes with patient-reported quality-of-life measures and qualitative research to provide a multidimensional assessment of the impact of cataract surgery.

Collaborative project. Eye-care delivery in the field is carried out by the collaborating institutions and organisations; the group contributes research design and evaluation of clinical and social outcomes.
