    European Dry Eye Network (EDEN)

European doctoral training network advancing the understanding of Dry Eye Disease through structural and physiological characterisation, improved diagnostics and therapy, and multidisciplinary training of early-stage researchers.

    Funding programme
Horizon 2020 – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, European Joint Doctorates
    Funding body
    European Commission
    Duration
    2015–2019
    Grant / reference

    Institution
    UV

The European Dry Eye Network (EDEN) was a European research and doctoral training network focused on advancing the understanding of Dry Eye Disease (DED). The project brought together leading academic institutions and industry partners to investigate the structural and physiological changes associated with DED, develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, and provide multidisciplinary training to early-stage researchers in vision science.

Characterisation of Multifocal Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses and Visual Performance Following Fitting

Investigation of the optical and clinical characteristics of multifocal rigid gas permeable contact lenses and assessment of visual performance following lens fitting, contributing to optical strategies for presbyopia correction.

    Funding body
Conselleria d’Educació, Cultura i Sport – Generalitat Valenciana
    Duration
    2015–2016
    Grant / reference
    GV/2015/043
    Institution
    UV

This project investigated the optical and clinical characteristics of multifocal rigid gas permeable contact lenses and assessed visual performance following lens fitting. The research contributed to the evaluation of optical strategies for presbyopia correction and to a better understanding of the relationship between multifocal lens design and visual outcomes.
