From research to specialised practice

Members of the group contribute to specialised postgraduate education, translating the knowledge generated through our research into advanced clinical training and professional practice. Closely aligned with the group's research lines, these activities range from specialised postgraduate programmes to the clinical and research training of healthcare professionals. This integration of research, clinical practice and education facilitates the transfer of scientific knowledge across disciplines and supports the development of healthcare professionals at different stages of their academic and clinical careers.

Master in Specialised Optometry for Refractive Surgery and Contact Lenses

Members of the group take part in the academic direction and teaching of this permanent-formation master's, now in its fifth edition, bringing the group's research and clinical experience into specialised postgraduate training.

Members of the research group participate actively in the academic direction and teaching of the Máster de Formación Permanente en Optometría Especializada en Cirugía Refractiva y Lentes de Contacto of the Universitat de València, which reaches its fifth edition in the 2026–2027 academic year. Professors Alejandro Cerviño and César Albarrán, members of the research group, form part of the master's academic direction, helping to translate the teaching, clinical and research experience developed in the group's main lines of work into specialised postgraduate training. The 60-ECTS, fully online programme provides advanced training in two areas closely linked to the group's activity: optometric assessment associated with refractive and cataract surgery, and specialised contactology. This is a Universitat de València degree; members of the group contribute to its direction and teaching.
