On 22 April, the Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives organised an online event to present the "Guía sobre Relaciones Laborales y Seguridad Social en cooperativas agroalimentarias”, a guide on labour relations and social security in agri-food cooperatives.
The workshop featured a lecture by Manuel Alegre, Judge of the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community and Associate Professor of Labour Law and Social Security at the Universitat de València. The event was moderated by Tomás Rojas, Finance Director of Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España (Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain).
During the event, the expert addressed the main questions that are raised by the application of labour law and social security in the agri-food sector, such as seasonality of the jobs, collective negotiations, social protection of workers and health and security at work, among others.
