The webinar addressed the taxation of the fuel activity carried out by cooperatives, and the application of the 20 cents rebate that all fuel distributors in Spain must comply with.

The Chair for Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain and the University of Valencia, with the sponsorship of Agrobank, held the 4th Technical Forum on Fuels, which analysed RD-Law 6/2022 and the application of the 20 cents rebate, a milestone that has been a challenge for all fuel distribution cooperatives.

In addition to analysing the taxation of the fuel activity carried out by cooperatives, the conference also looked in depth at the recently published RD-Law 6/2022, approved on March 29th, and the application of the 20 cents rebate that all those involved in fuel distribution in our country must comply with.

The conference was opened by Pepe Cala Varela, president of the Work Group on Fuels of the Spanish Agri-food Cooperatives, followed by Natalia Hidalgo Sebastián, a specialist in the subject and director of the NH Asesores firm. Hidalgo focused on the urgent measures contained in the National Plan in response to the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine contained in Royal Decree-Law 6/2022, approved on March 29th. During his presentation, he analysed in detail the content of articles 15 to 21 of Royal Decree-Law 6/2022, which deal with the extraordinary and temporary rebate on the final price of certain energy products and the temporary non-tax public economic provision to be made by wholesale operators of petroleum products.

In the round of questions moderated by the sector technician, Jesús Gustrán, Hidalgo clarified the issues that most concerned the cooperatives involved in fuel supply.
