The incubator of the University of Valencia and the Science Park of the University of Valencia has selected seven agri-food startups to incorporate them into its second edition of the AgrotecUV incubation and acceleration program
AgrotecUV closes its second call to attract innovative projects and startups in agri-food and welcomes seven new startups to its incubation program. This second call has been a complete success after having registered an increase in the number of applications submitted compared to the previous call. The growing interest in the AgrotecUV incubation program is marked by its strategic location in the Science Park of the University of Valencia, considered the nerve center of leading companies in the agri-food sector. Furthermore, its direct relationship with the university and the different research groups represents an opportunity for collaboration at a scientific-technical level for the applicant startups.
AgrotecUV has seen its presence reinforced beyond the Valencian Community, receiving requests from companies at a national and international level. These range from recently created companies, local cooperative projects, spin-offs of different universities to spin-offs of large multinationals which have shown interest in the AgrotecUV incubation program.
All this highlights the importance that AgrotecUV can have in the sector as an agent that facilitates the creation of companies and the interconnection between the academic and business world, through technology transfer, contributing to the transformation of the agri-food sector into a sustainable system, healthy and adapted to the current needs that society demands.
Over the next year, the selected startups will be able to enjoy the numerous advantages offered by the AgrotecUV incubation program, including the possibility of settling in the new innovation center of the University of Valencia, whose completion is expected by the end of this year 2023.
