The Basketball Chair L'Alqueria del Basket rewards the best Final Degree, Master's Degree and Advanced Vocational Training’s Projects

The resolutions of the Vice-Principal for Innovation and Transfer have been published, in which the Basketball Chair l’Alqueria del Basket awards of the Universitat de València are given to the best works related to basketball.

The purpose of this call is to award the best Final Degree Projects (TFG), Final Master's Degree Projects (TFM) and Final Degree Projects of Advanced Vocational Training in Teaching and Socio-Sports Animation (TSEAS) and whose content is oriented towards the subject of basketball from any approach and area of knowledge, with the aim of encouraging university and vocational training students to study any aspect related to this sport. The awards are aimed at students of official degrees from Spanish universities and students of Advanced Vocational Training (TSEAS).

In this edition, fourth for the TFG and TFM and second for the FP, there has been a record of participation among university students. A total of 10 TFG and 6 TFM were presented for the awards.

The first prize for the TFG was awarded to the work presented by Marta Sorlí (Universitat de València), entitled "Blood flow restriction as a substitute method for floosing for the prevention of ankle injuries". The second prize was won by Cristóbal Fernández (University of Huelva) with the work entitled "Determination of thresholds of the deficit in the change of direction according to the angle of cut in basketball players". The runner-up prize was awarded to David Ruiz (University of Alcalá) for his work entitled "Global motor coordination and sports performance in basketball".

In the TFM category, the first prize went to Vicente Aranda (Universitat de València) for his work entitled "Analysis and evaluation of a summer campus: the case of Valencia Basket”. The second prize went to Víctor Pérez (Catholic University of Valencia) for his work entitled "Relationship between academic and sporting performance in young elite basketball players”. Lastly, the runner-up prize went to Pablo López for his work entitled "Study of the load during an official women's basketball competition".

The prizes for the Final Advanced Vocational Training projects were not awarded as no work was presented.
