Determination of the toxic potentials in the aquatic environment. Studies of toxic substance accumulation in aquatic organisms (invertebrates, fish and birds). We also perform ecotoxicity characterizations of toxic and hazardous wastes according to the current legislation, and evaluate different physiological and biochemical parameters of toxic stress.

The water quality of rivers is determined by various biotic indices to assess the different levels of contamination in relation to human activity in the environment (land use). It is used to determine the impact of treatment plants, farms, industries and agricultural activities. It allows for the study of the accumulation of toxins in food chains and the assessment of environmental risk.
