Researchers from DSDC and Würth-UV EMC Chair, together with WÜRTH ELEKTRONIK company and AIMPLAS institute, have published a novel method for measuring the effectiveness of EMI shielding
DSDC researchers involved with the Würth EMC Chair of the University of Valencia have published in the prestigious journal Magnetochemistry, in collaboration with the company Würth Elektronik and the Aimplas technological institute, a new method for characterizing the EMI shielding of various materials.
Investigation of lightweight EMI shielding materials will allow the possibility of increasing safety in 5G communications. Depending on the frequency range where the materials will operate, there are various methods to determine their shielding effectiveness. This work proposes a non-standardized measurement method based on an absorbing box that overcomes the limitations that standard methods present.
