The DSDC reserch group at UV offers a pre-doctoral contract within the framework of the European OWIN6G project for research on optical and wireless sensor networks in 6G environments

The DSDC research group of the University of Valencia offers a pre-doctoral contract within the framework of the European project OWIN6G (Optical and wireless sensor networks for 6G scenarios).

In this project. key industry and academic stakeholders are brought together with the aim of developing a structured European training programme in optical technologies to facilitate disruptive wireless sensor applications within sixth-generation (6G) networks. OWIN6G will be the first Doctoral Network dedicated to training new generation of early-stage researchers (i.e., doctoral candidates, DCs) in the field of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for the Internet of Things/Internet of Everything (IoT/IoE) as part of the 6G and beyond focusing on novel sensors, solar-cells for energy harvesting and optical detection, and hybrid RF-optical wireless technologies, and the application of machine learning to improve adoption, optimization, and security aspects in sensor networks.

In this context, Universitat de València holds one open position for Doctoral Candidate of 36 months duration, with an annual gross salary about 36.6 K€ . Candidate  can also benefit from family allowance of around 6 k€, that will be calculated only if applicable according with MSCA rules.
