The CRECYCSEM research group organises a Scientific Conference on the obtaining and characterisation of advanced materials, titled “AOFAT: Advanced Oxides For Advanced Technologies”. The event, sponsored by the Valencian Department of Education, will be held on 18 and 19 November 2014, at the Department of Applied Physics.
The conference, organised by the Crystal Growth and Characterisation of Semiconductors group (CRECYCSEM), will bring together prominent researchers from the Universitat de València, the Instituto Jaume Almera (CSIC) of Barcelona and the University of the Basque Country, specialised in crystal growth of advanced materials and their characterisation.

The conference will include presentations by experts in the field, addressing topics such as growth of cadmium oxides, morphological and structural characterisation and nanoinspection, among others. Some of the professionals attending the conference are Dr Lluís Artús and Dr Paloma Fernández, which will share their knowledge on the advances in the optical phonons field and ZnS nanostructures, respectively.
The goals of this conference include the dissemination of CRECYCSEM activities, the consolidation of scientific collaborations and the discussion of the “state-of-art” of the methods and techniques for obtaining and characterising advanced oxides.
