Thesis submission process
Prior to reading the thesis, the candidate must deposit it in accordance with the regulations for assessment and deposit of the doctoral thesis .

New management of doctoral thesis information on the TESEO platform
From 26 November 2025, the management and communication of basic information for doctoral theses defended at each centre will be carried out exclusively through the new TESEO platform.
The previous application is no longer operational.
From this date, the entry of thesis data into TESEO is not carried out by the doctoral candidate, but by the administrative staff of the centre where the doctoral defence takes place.
Only this administrative staff has the access permissions for the new TESEO application and is responsible for completing all the required information.
Removal of the document for the secretary of the tribunal
The new application no longer generates any document that must be signed by the secretary of the tribunal and submitted prior to the defence.
From now on, all information is recorded directly on the TESEO platform without generating any document.
Defending the thesis
The doctoral thesis is evaluated during the act of defence which takes place in a public session. This session consists of the presentation and defence of the research project. The doctoral professionals present in the session may ask questions once indicated by the president of the examining committee.
Grade
The examining committee will issue a report and overall grade according to the following scale: suitable.
The thesis may receive “Cum laude” if unanimously voted by secret ballot.
