The EXINH research group was formed in 2016 and was officially registered at the Universitat de València in 2017 with the following code: GIUV2017-389 EXINH-RG is the acronym of EXercise INtervention for Health Research Group.
This group was created by the Department of Physiotherapy of the Universitat de València in order to address the concerns of several researchers who use physical exercise as a principal tool in their research that focuses on studying the effects of exercise on diseases, disorders, impairments, medical conditions and other aspects that affect quality of life.
Currently, with the addition of new researchers, the group has developed a new research line focused on the study of pain. Its objective is to study the learning mechanisms that underlie chronic pain, as well as all of the cognitive processes involved from a biopsycosocial approach.
The other research lines are involved in various projects, generating scientific papers in prestigious journals, as well as presenting projects at national and international congresses that deal with topics related to exercise and its effects on human health.
