CENTRAL THEME
EstiuesART
The central theme unifying this edition’s educational proposal is ‘EstiuesART’ (Summer is art).
With the arrival of summer, we gain precious time to rest and unwind from our typical daily routines. Here at the Summer School of the Universitat de València, we want to turn the time that summer provides us with into an opportunity for creation and communication.
Not only does art allow creativity, self-expression and imagination to flourish, but it’s also a means of expressing emotions or proposing creative solutions to everyday situations in an imaginative, flexible and decisive way.
Come and join us!
ACTIVITIES
CULTURAL WORKSHOP

SELF-MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
The educational entertainment programme will include various socio-cultural activities organisedwith a specific theme for each week:
Week 1: INTERACTIVE ART AND TECHNOLOGY
We will start off by exploring interactive art and how it's related to technology. We will experiment with different forms of artistic expression that go beyond traditional methods, paying special attention tocontemporary Valencian artists who practice this fusion, such as Alejandra de la Torre.
Week 2: STREET ART AND GRAFFITI AS AN URBAN FORM OF EXPRESSION
We will take a closer look at urban art and graffiti, immersing ourselves in the diversity of artistic expression present in urban spaces. We will also discover Valencian artists such as Escif, known for his commitment to environmental issues, or Julieta XLF, who combines traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics.
Week 3: SOUND ART AND AUDITORY EXPERIMENTATION
We will dive deep into sound art and auditoryexperimentation as a means of contemporary artistic expression. We will explore the limits of sound as a form of art through experimental music, taking inspiration from Valencian artists such as Mireia Pérez and Edu Comelles.
Week 4: ENVIRONMENTAL ART AND SUSTAINABILITY
We will bring to light environmental art and its close connection to sustainability. With artists like Escif as a reference, participants will explore how art can serve as a platform for ecological awareness and conversations about critical issues.
Week 5: DIGITAL ART AND AUGMENTED REALITY
This week we will focus on digital art and augmented reality. Taking inspiration from the innovative work of the Catalan artist Carla Benages, we will have the opportunity to live a unique experience through generative art.
