Objectives

The TRESOR research group includes territorial analysis, public policies, governance, sustainability and socioeconomic dynamics, with special attention to the impacts of turism in urban and rural contexts.

The objective of the group is to analyse the impact of tourism in the territory and to propose actions for the improvement of quality and integration of it. In addition, it conducts studies and diagnostics of the tourist resources associated with the territory, from specific methodologies, in order to meet its attraction potential and to contribute to the local and regional development. Moreover, it collaborates with local entities for the assesment of the natural and cultural heritage, and the management of tourist destinations from a territorial perspective —location and land use, tourist housing, etc.— as well as the design of policies and strategic plannings of the tourist, urban and rural areas from a sustainable perspective locally and regionally.
