Briology. Study of the bryophyte flora of Mediterranean environments. Biogeography of mosses and liverworts. Systematics and Phylogeny of bryophytes. Evaluation of the conservation status of the species of bryophytes.
Marine botany. The line focuses on the study of biodiversity, systematics, biogeography and conservation of marine flowering plants and seaweeds, for the most part, Mediterranean. Fitoplanctologia (study of the population dynamics and analysis of bioindicators).
Taxonomy and vegetal ecology. Plant Ecology (dune vegetation, nitrophila, scrub, forest fires, Bioclimatology and biogeography); Plant taxonomy (Cariology, phenology, phylogeography, nomenclature); Conservation Biology.
Micology and Lichenology. Systematic identification of lichens, fungi and the products of secondary metabolism in Mediterranean areas. Conservation of species and their habitats. Biodeterioration of monuments.
