The group is formed by two basic work lines: the analysis of variables that form the contemporary social structure, specially social class and genre, as well as the analysis of individuals and social relations that are built; and the implementation of new methodologies so as to collect the impact of these variables, individuals and relationships in people’s life.

For that reason, the group research is conducted to: 1. The knowledge generation on inequality processes that takes place on current society, especially in the Valencian Country, including classification systems. 2. The development of new methodologies -quantitative and qualitative, but also socialanalytic and dialectics- which allow collecting the impact of inequality in the current society. 3. Analysis, assessment and proposal of public policies in terms of equality and social transformation promotion.
