The Institute of Criminology of the UV together with the European School of Security Sciences with the participation of Mark Safarik (FBI).
The objective of the Seminar is to provide information on the behaviour of the individual based on research and/or operational support, through the application of the experience, research and complexity training.
The Criminal Investigation Analysis Unit is a review process of felonies, from the behaviour and research perspective. Its function is to review and evaluate the facts of a criminal, delinquent act, interpretation, behaviour, and the interaction with the victims: how they behaved during the offence or how they behave on the crime scene.
For that reason, for this first seminar, the European School of Security Sciences has invited Mr Mark Safarik, who is one of the authorities at a global level in the technique of criminal profiling to capture serial offenders and who has written several books on the topic. He worked for 22 years in the Unit of Behavioural Sciences of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States).
We consider it will be very useful not just for criminologists to exercise their profession, but also for students who are taking university studies in Criminology, Psychology, Private Investigation or Law, taught in the Spanish universities.
