The institutional event that, on the occasion of the 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Universitat de València is holding on Wednesday, 23 November at 12 p.m. in the Faculty of Law, focuses on the Organic Law 10/2022, of 6 September, on the comprehensive guarantee of sexual freedom. This law came into force on 7 October and requires the implementation of coordinated policies to ensure awareness, prevention and detection, as well as the sanctioning and comprehensive protection of sexual violence in all its forms.

Paz Lloria, Full University Professor of Criminal Law and Deputy Secretary-General of the Universitat de València, and Esmeralda Ballesteros, Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid, who is also spokesperson for the working group for the study of sexual violence, SEXVIOL, are scheduled to take part in the event. Leticia Meyaro, psychologist and criminologist and collaborator at the Centre for Assistance to Victims of Sexual Assault, will speak at the event, which will be moderated by Sonia Rodríguez de Llamas, professor of Civil Law and head of initiatives for the prevention of gender-based violence at the Universitat de València.
