Empar Vengut Climent és llicenciada en Farmàcia (2009) per la Universitat de València, Màster en Química Orgànica, Experimental i Industrial (2011) per la mateixa universitat, doctora en Química (2015) per la Universitat de Sevilla i Màster en Periodisme i Comunicació de la Ciència, Tecnologia, Medi ambient i Salut (2018) per la Universitat Carles III de Madrid. Va començar la seua carrera investigadora en l'àrea de química orgànica en l'estiu de 2008 en l'Institut d'Investigacions Químiques (CSIC-US) i des de llavors ha treballat en diversos grups d'investigació nacionals i europeus. A més, va realitzar un postdoctorat de 2 anys en el Departament de Química de la Universitat McGill de Mont-real (2016-2018), gràcies al finançament de la Fundació Alfonso Martín Escudero. Actualment forma part del grup ScienceFlows on treballa com a investigadora, comunicadora i gestora de projectes.
